Paul Revere (1735 – 1818) – One of the key figure in the American Revolutionary War, become first, silversmith,
establish a gun-powder factory, and received dental training from John Baker, opening his practice in
Boston. He replace teeth, made surgical instruments, being the first dentist who identified a body
(Dr. Josheph Warren) by a dental appliance.
Charles Wilson Peale (1741 – 1827) – Well known american painter, experimented with dentures caved out in ivory
and had various researces in dental techniques. He was probably the first american to fire in
the oven porcelain teeth. He made the third set of denture for G. Washington, upper and
lower denture were connected by steel springs.
